Growing Tourism through Sports

March 15, 2019

"Anyone intelligent can make things more complex. It takes a touch of genius and lot of courage to move in the opposite direction."

— Albert Einstein

On Friday, March 15 2019, Taikan Africa, launched its Sport Tourism Chapter when we ventured into the Nairobi National Park with our visiting Aikido Sensei, Piotr Borowski. Nairobi is the only City in the World with a national park within it. This is a gem we must fight for and protect.

Our God given resources, national parks, game reserves, lakes, rivers, indigenous forests, historical sites, the beaches, and ethnic diversity, give us a unique opportunity to promote Sports Tourism. Taikan Africa, will use its extensive global network to invite martial artists and other sports personalities to visit Kenya.

Our Vision for Sports Tourism

While training Karate, Aikido, Judo, Jiujutsu, and Krav Maga, with our students and foreign guests, we shall ensure they imbibe and enjoy the best that Kenya has to offer.

In November, 2021, in collaboration with the Japan Karate Association-Kenya (JKA-Kenya), and the Paul Tergat Foundation, we launched a programme to promote; sports, environmental protection and the blue economy at the Coastal town of Watamu.
